From the creation of an ecosystem along the edge, to a battle of wills between the land and water, eroding the land to create picturesque landscapes. Taken a week before the lava lake of Kīlauea collapsed, being able to see how the lava solidifies and deconstructs constantly within this lava lake was a sight to see.
